Semalam tengah hari Amru demam kali kedua. tiba-tiba je panas anak ummi ni.. dah terasa panas dah waktu program Munajat Mesir semalam tapi ingatkan sebab keadaan dewan yang panas. malam semalam sampai je rumah dari rumah ibu terus main-main dan nampak sihat. tapi tiba-tiba tengah malam mula panas balik Amru.. setiap sejam setengah bangun dari tidur untuk menyusu dengan lahapnya sampai termuntah sebab sendawa. dehydrated agaknya. Alhamdulillah, he still have the appetite.

Hari ni bukak fb terperasan satu post, info tentang anak demam. macam menarik untuk dikongsikan dan dijadikan rujukan masa depan.

[ INFO ANAK DEMAN]

Sila baca….sila baca.. x rugi pun mummy….

Maka buat ibu baru….jangan panik. Banyakkan membaca, pasti luas pengetahuan.

Time flies

Amru is 7months old today.
How time flies fast!

Sambung syeikh tu kalau kita orang Islam masih hidup, perlu terus solat pada waktunya. Macamana agaknya, jika dinisbahkan sehari kepada setahun. Lama sungguh nak tunggu waktu solat seterusnya..

Every minute counts and is accounted for.

*Being a stay-at-home wife and mother can easily make me tangled and caught up in time.*

untukmu ukhti

untukmu ukhti,

kata-kata penguat jiwa, pemupuk kasih, pengubat rindu.. :)

berlarilah. seketika berhenti me’refresh’ diri, membasahi tekak dan hati. kemudian teruslah berlari.

(HR. Abu Dawud no. 4419, An Naasaa’i no. 5333, dan At Tirmidzi no. 3399)

Kembali menulis!

Sekarang sarah masih belum kerja, plannya nak tunggu lepas raya, kasi lepas ramadhan dulu. Amru pun masih dalam follow up Dr selepas operation buang BCG adenitis dia. Jadi elokkan postpone dulu hasrat. Harapnya bila dah masuk kerja nanti, i will be more ready to accept the workload of a houseman.. *tough*

I feel like writing again, but maybe this time i want to make my posts short, sweet and simple :-) (yeke?)

Well, let us see… Hehe

EXAM mode

today we had 2 BIG exams, not as big as what will come ahead of us.. but enough to give me back that stressful rush of adrenaline and topsy turvy belly- more than just butterflies flutters.

and i think i need to vent out a little. after a long period of total dead silence of this blog of ours, i want to write again!

i have to admit, it was rather a stressful day. the multiple choice questions were hard enough.. and immediately after, we had our OSCE exams of 10 stations. i don’t intend to go through details of it but enough to make out things i need to reflect.. even so if i do plan to go into the teaching line one day.

i think it is rather demoralising for a professor to say “you didn’t study!” and to put a no-i-can’t-help-u-in any-ways look during the exam. yes, for the very first time, i had that in my face today. huhu.. how could i forget that simple test? aiyoo, i had it in my mind during my rounds before and then today the name just poofed from my mind. maybe i just need a glance of it again, just ONCE.. to make me recall. but alas, i couldn’t recall..

secondly, on the contrary, a professor who responds, even with a simple gesture as a nod after each sentence means a LOT! at least we can know if our answers can be accepted, good enough, dead right or even totally wrong.

lastly, i think the dreadful feeling and disappointment of not being able to do my best this time makes me want to do BETTER and strive harder next time. and one thing i also reflected is that, we have to have husnuzzhan towards Allah. maybe, just maybe.. we feel so bad about a thing, but behind the scenes, something good that we totally unexpected actually happened. after all, He is the one who decides all things. we can do so much, but His plans supersedes.

during my downward hill feelings, my husband said that he can’t imagine, experiencing the same thing we had today, the stress and adrenaline rush EVERY SINGLE day when we have become house officers later on, with the Professors asking and assessing us everyday.

(aah eh. ye tak ye juga..)

have to practice and endure all this from now.

put up a strong heart.

we can still make mistakes now as students,

but as Doctors, it will be unacceptable!

as honourable, smart and perfect we should be, we are still  what we are,

humans..

we err like other men.

please pray for us in the coming Final Exams that will end our SIX YEARS of medical school life! wow, can’t believe we’ll be graduating.. at last.. :)

Forgotten promises

bismillahirrahmaanirrahim..

as i was listening to a beautiful song by sami yusuf, Forgotten promises, it brought me back to remember the tafsir of surah Al-Haaqqah..

from the lyrics, and the video clip.. reminding us of the hunger and humanitarian mission to the overseen countries tested with drought and poverty.

“Our words must count
Hunger will not wait for promises we made”

how true…
in the ayaat in surah Al-Haaqqah after describing the people of Jannah who received their book of deeds by their right hands, Allah described those who are doomed for Hell after receiving their book of deeds by their left hands.. in a scary, grieving way.. and what was the character mentioned by Allah of those people entering the Hell?

69:33: Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, The Most Great,

69:34: Nor did he encourage the feeding of poor.

clearly stated.

Not only the obligation towards Allah but also implies our obligation towards other people, entailing the importance of amru bil ma’rufi (enjoining what is good). remember, that Allah did not state nor did YOU feed the poor but nor did we ENCOURAGE!

and feeding the poor and helping and encouraging others to do so is just one of the examples of what Allah wants from us.

let us tadabur surah Al-Haaqqah today, reading the ayaats verse by verse.. with our hearts.

Growing Old with You…

“I’ll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you..”

there goes a part of  a song by adam sandler, ‘Grow old with you’. i used to think it was the cutest song ever.. :) and suddenly, i remembered the song once again.

and because it’s my husband’s birthday~ :) in egypt, we got used to celebrating it the night before because after 6pm in alexandria, it’s already midnight in malaysia..

Dear, since your birthday this year, is the first to celebrate it together.. i badly want to make it a wee bit special :) not to say that i’m an eager birthday-celebrator but since we’re a couple now and special dates are the times for us to show appreciation to our partner.. i’d like to take the opportunity to just do that :)

i’m not sure as to how i’ll write this post and how it’ll end up to be, but i just want to say take the opportunity to say them..

I used to call you a friend. the one i can depend..

to help me with anything at anytime..

i know you never mind, to even spend a dime.

but never did i have the slightest clue, neither did you

that we both were meant, for a lifetime romance.

You proposed so suddenly, in the month of november,

and that message i wrongly sent, i clearly remember,

was to make every step easier, faster and simpler,

never was it unplanned, as Allah the Exalted is All Knower.

Approaching the big day, when some asked.. do you love him?

who? him? my future husband..?

not yet, as i shaked my head.

though i was honestly worried i may not fall in love,

head over heels as deeply enough..

but above all, i had trust, that’s all that matters.. so it wasn’t that tough.

After the big day, i felt anew..

you were a different person from what i knew.

as i mingled with your family, my heart grew fonder.

i have a new life, i have a lover, a partner-no more a loner.

my worries vanished with the wind,

my tears washed,

my heartache mended..

the war has ended..

and my view bathed with sunlight,

Oh Allah, You heard my plight!

And you came as a gift, when i least expected,

like the rainbow, when a storm had passed and ended,

like the dawn, after the night was dreaded..

and surely you should be appreciated.

Even more on this meaningful day,

i can never know what perfect words to say,

to say thank you from the deepest part,

you surely managed to steal my heart!

Dear,

thank you for accepting me just the way i am,

thank you for adapting with my ways,

thank you for accompanying me on this journey,

thank you for leading my prayers,

thank you for supporting me to do dakwah,

thank you for reciting our night prayers,

thank you for lending your shoulders as i sleep, or weep..

and thank you for making me smile.. all this while :)

i want to grow old with you in this world,

and grow young with you in jannah~ :)

lots of love <3
